Brighton and Hove LGBT+ Switchboard Rainbow Cafe: Feeling Forgetful
Are you from the LGBTQ community? Are you worried about your memory or the memory of someone close to you?
What is the difference between natural cognitive decline due to ageing and dementia, and when should you take your concerns further? What should you do if you think that yourself or a loved one may have dementia? What is the process for diagnosis? How can you continue to have a fruitful, fun and functional life despite memory problems or dementia?
This is a talk and Q&A session with the Memory Assessment Service, Fran Hamilton, occupational therapist, and Penny Dodds from Dementia UK. Come along, have a cuppa and a chat.
Wednesday 21st November 1.30pm-3pm
New Writing South, 9 Jew Street, BN1 IUT
Event and refreshments are free but booking essential.
This event is organised by the Rainbow Café, an initiative from Switchboard for LGBTQ people living with dementia or memory loss and their friends, families and carers.
