Time to Talk Day is an established initiative to address mental health support in different settings. It is especially useful to managers who want resources and opportunities to help staff who may have difficulty talking about their mental health.
At some point in our lives all of us will be affected with mental health difficulties – for the majority, it passes. There are others who need long term support from GPs, family, friends and employers to make sure they are able to get on with their lives. Time to Talk Day encourages these conversations so that we stop relying on stereotypes to understand what mental health and mental health difficulties mean. It is only through improving our understanding that we will be able to help each other and encourage healthier environments to study in, work and live.
Below are some resources you can use to show that your work areas are positive about mental health and support those who need a non-judgemental listening ear.
